Performance

Untested. FloraPulse has not tested sugarcane and has no sensor-hours in the crop. Sugarcane is a monocot: the culm has scattered vascular bundles and no secondary xylem, so whether a microtensiometer can hold a stable hydraulic connection in it is an open question that the woody-crop results do not answer. Mature culms clear the 7 mm probe's 19 mm (0.75 in) minimum stem diameter. Research use only, with no performance guarantee — contact us if you want to co-validate.
