Not RecommendedField testing showed the sensor cannot hold a reliable reading here, usually because the wounding response floods the install site and it reads zero.
Performance
Not recommended, and not sold for this crop. Normal sensor installations get flooded after a few days and measure zero SWP indefinitely. The new heading cut install appears promising and gives reasonable results about 60% of the time. We continue field trial on this crop with UC Davis.
